Hopp

For our final project at Reykjavik University, we got offered to work on an exciting opportunity with Aranja. They were exploring the idea of launching an electric scooter rental service in Iceland, inspired by its growing popularity abroad. We were immediately intrigued by the concept and ultimately developed the initial version of the Hopp app and backend.

We ended up not only developing the app but also integrating the first prototype of Hopp bikes with the software, allowing users to rent bikes through the app, as is done today. Although the design team couldn't finalize the app's visual elements before our project deadline, resulting in a look a bit different from the current version, the project was a major success. The entire process was incredibly rewarding and educational, and it's thrilling to see that Hopp has since expanded to operate in multiple countries. What started as a university project has grown into an international eco-friendly transportation solution.
